My experience with Global Aircon is not positive. While they did manage to identify and fix the issue (loose nut causing gas leak), the overall experience was very negative.
First, despite setting time, they last minute changed to a later time. Next, it was a struggle to get them to park in the correct designated parking space for visitors. The technician was stubborn and tried to lie that there were available visitor spaces elsewhere – there aren’t, visitors are assigned specific parking spaces at my condo – and even tried to drive against traffic flow – I had to stop him.
After cutting the tape to tighten the nut, they did not tape it back – despite my request. They also left the cut tape on the floor without cleaning, and dirty marks on the air conditioner and wall.
The technician also dropped a screw which I found 5 days later on the floor – will come back to this later.
At the end of rushing through the service, they were thick face enough to ask for a Google review, at which point I pointed out they did not clean the tape on the floor, nor the dirty markings on the air conditioner and wall. Only then did they request a broom to sweep the tape – which they left in the dustpan, did not even empty into the bin, and tried to lie that the black markings on the air conditioner and wall were just water and will dry away (I had to clean these myself 5 days later). Nonetheless, a few half-hearted taps with a dirty cloth and they were on their way.
5 days later, while vacuuming, I found a screw that the technician dropped. When I messaged him about it, instead of apologising he tried to lie again and claim that it is an ‘extra screw that he brought’ and not a screw from my air conditioner.
I already planned to use a ladder to clean the dirty marks, and lo and behold indeed it was a missing screw from my air conditioner. I do not appreciate being lied to several times due to laziness of the technician for such simple matters.
It is the principle and ultimately the service level was appalling. I am not sure why this company has such a high Google review rating. My personal experience was far from satisfactory. I found the service to be rushed, without attention to detail (leaving dirty stains, tape cuttings on the floor, screw from air conditioner on the floor), and disrespectful (being lied to several times).
Since he did manage to identify and fix the problem (loose nut due to poor installation by the developer), I added one star to make it a final 2- star rating.
EDIT: After reviewing I read some of the other reviews and see the low ratings seem to be more genuine. They are similar to my experience – late, ignoring customer request, leaving dirty air conditioner. Advise to avoid.
EDIT 2: Not too long later discovered the issue was not really fixed properly, just half-measure and the problem recurred.
aircond installation price is a bit cheaper than others however, the workmanship and quality are very low (pictures here are taken 3 months after installation).
last minute rescheduling with poor communication.
they will ask you to leave a review once they complete the work, hence why you can see the review is very high.
overall, not recommended.
fast work. satisfied, had warranty. but a little pricy
This person is the worst and baddest aircon person that does a bad work for a living. Don’t patronise him. The aircon he fixed for me, all the water that is supposed to flow through the pipe outside are all flooding in my living room and when I called his attention to it, he said that he is coming the following day, till today, he never showed up and it is more than one month now. Never you call for his services because you will regret it afterwards.
Good service, will give 5 star if come on time
