Engaged GMT Enterprise for their plumbing services recently; rates are reasonable, response time is very quick, and completed the job well. In fact, there was a slight problem a few days later, which they returned to resolve for free, as it’s within the warranty period. No hassle, pleasure to work with. Would engage again for future plumbing needs.
Would have given 1-star if not for a mural painting in my child’s room that was done well. Even then, had to argue with him that his measurements were wrong. After much convincing, thankfully he agreed and I got the mural I intended to have.
Negatives:
1. Premium price for mediocre work.
2. Some work said to be done, but later found not done ie ducting for toilet ventilation fan. Only discovered not done after he left, and when asked he simply ignored.
3. Poor painting work especially on edges. Touch up work was done with random brush strokes which made wall patchy.
4. Poor uneven skimming on walls, and worse for ceilings.
5. He quoted cleaning, but barely cleaned. When asked, he said cleaning for areas that he worked on only. Even then, most areas he worked on were not cleaned.
6. Missed 3 delivery deadlines.
7. Very prone to miscommunication. Example: I wanted to paint all walls off-white. But for a particularly tall wall, I asked him if white would be easier as ceiling is white. He said off-white is ok with no extra charge. But once completed he charged extra, saying he didn’t know off-white is not white.
8. When telling him about his poor workmanship, he claimed that there are datuks he charged much more that are happy with his work. See the photos of his work and judge for yourself.
Midway through, I regretted engaging him. I was going to fire him, but he assured he will get it done. In the end, my regret became a bigger one. I hate putting up this review, but I would hate it even more if someone else goes through the same experience I had.
