Visiting IKEA Damansara is always an exciting experience, especially for those looking to refresh their living space with modern, functional, and affordable furniture. The store is massive, offering an extensive selection of home essentials, from stylish sofas and dining sets to compact storage solutions and kitchenware. I appreciate how the showroom is arranged beautifully, allowing shoppers to visualize how different pieces fit together in a home setting. It’s a great place to find inspiration and discover creative ways to make the most of any space.
One of the best things about IKEA is its affordability and quality balance. While some items may seem slightly expensive, most products offer value for money, with smart designs that maximize functionality. The self-service warehouse makes it easy to collect items, and most of their furniture is flat-packed, making transportation more manageable. However, the assembly process can sometimes be tricky, requiring time and effort, especially for larger pieces.
Another highlight is their restaurant and food market, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. It’s almost impossible to leave without grabbing a plate of Swedish meatballs, salmon dishes, or their famous soft-serve ice cream. Their food is affordable and delicious, making it a perfect break during long shopping trips.
However, shopping at IKEA Damansara isn’t always smooth. The store gets extremely crowded on weekends and public holidays, making it difficult to navigate and enjoy browsing. Long checkout lines and limited parking during peak hours can be frustrating, so visiting on a weekday morning is the best way to have a relaxed experience.
Overall, IKEA Damansara is a must-visit for home improvement lovers, offering a wide range of stylish and functional products at reasonable prices. While the crowds and DIY assembly can be drawbacks, the variety and affordability make it worth the visit.
Weekend is very crowded, toilet, payment and makan are all long queue. If you bring kids or old folk, do consider to avoid peak hour like after lunch, or come on weekday is fine.
Year end sales always the best, and buy what you need only, safe the earth together.
The restaurant I feel so so la for the food, but the experience is something you couldn’t get in local restaurant, take a trolley and something like factory canteen concept, point the food u want and they will take for u.
Spacious place to shop around for both the showroom and store for self pick up of the items you are looking at.
There’s a food court available served various kinds of food.
The food was great 😃.
This morning on Christmas Day , l went to IKEA Damansara to get some curry puffs for my breakfast. Though still early in the morning there was a large crowd of shoppers with their families n friends as today is a public holiday. There were already 3 long queues at the 3 counters selling cooked food such as curry puffs, hot dogs , pastries, fried chicken wings, ice- cream n a large variety of cookies, chocolates n drinks. I like the curry puffs cos the outside is crispy n the fillings inside are moist with the right spiciness of curried potatoes n a bit of egg. I bought 3 packets n each packet contains 6 curry puffs. I always keep them in the fridge . Whenever I want to eat them, I just warm it up in my little oven or toaster. It will still be crispy on the outside n moist inside. My whole family enjoys eating them for breakfast or even at tea time. You can go n get some from IKEA anytime. Not only are these curry puffs yummy , they are also affordable. 6 big curry puffs cosy only RM 7.80 only.
We took 34 primary school children to have lunch in Ikea Damansara on last Wednesday, 15th January 2025. A staff member there, Harith his name if I’m not mistaken was so helpful. He and his colleagues served the food with no fuss. Our experience here has encouraged us for further visits. Please thank your staff for their helpful service.
